The Melt (Berkeley, CA) - I had to go buy a reader across the street from The Melt, so my appetite got the best of me. Who doesn’t appreciate a good Grilled Cheese sandwich? It’s a small restaurant, but I like seating since there are booths for bigger groups (i.e. 4), or you can people watch at the counter stools that face the window. I think their service is pretty efficient since they call your order as soon as it’s ready to go and you can watch them put all of the orders together. What I really liked was the soda machine (the second picture)! I thought it was really cool. You press any of the buttons depending on you want (I opted for the cola - which I got for free with my Cal ID) and they all come out from the same spout.
